Learning During Covid - A Learners' Experience
2020 has been an eventful year filled with many uncertainties. I can speak for everyone when I say this year has changed us forever. Unfamiliar aspects have become the new norm and the lifestyle we used to live will never come back. As a student, this change was especially difficult, shifting routines can be a real throw off. Fortunately for me, I was able to continue my studies from the comfort of my home when our country was abruptly thrown into lockdown.
Though learning through an online platform for most of this year was a huge change, I can’t say it was quite difficult nor different to what I’m used to. Perhaps it just may be due to the generation of technology I’m growing up in or my personal ability to cope with change, although I can say for the most part, that I’ve learnt a lot of new things this year and I have experienced a whole new direction to life. Some might say these new routines, new laws, new changes have halted the lives of everyone, but maybe this brief stop in time is a blessing in disguise - where we can look at our lives from a different perspective.
