Through a Childs Eye - A Poem by Asma Bux (C)
Under my bed
Where I was told to hide
I watch as the light
Dies in my mother’s eyes
The pain he writes
Across her face
Seems to be
permanent now days
She thrashes and cries
Tears glisten her face
But he could care less
For tonight is his success
I wanted to scream
At him to stop
But the fear crippled me
And I could not
I could not help but wonder
What our home would be,
If he was not here
And were set free
